Yearling colts
SARI AJMAL
The second day of the show started with yearling colts, which was divided into two sections. The first section had three exceptional colts standing in the top three spots, all sired by EKS Farajj (Ibn Farid x EKS Bint Helwah). Sari Ajmal (ex Bint Bessolea), bred and owned by Ajmal Stud, took the win with 92.36 points. An expressive, well-balanced colt, he scored five 20s for type. Sahm Sarm (ex Bandahleeza ZB) took second with 92.21 points. Bred and owned by Sarm Stud, he was very different to the winner. He is a mature, deep-bodied colt with a good head and neck, scoring five 20s. Third went to Nesj el Jameel out of Nesj El Yuliah, a charming colt with lots of expression bred by Nesj Arabians and owned by Al Jumail Stud.
AKMAL ATHBAH
Disappointingly, the second section had only four forward, with the win going to the super showy LR Anselmo (RFI Unique x LL Almudena) bred by Las Rosas Estancia SRL and owned by Al Wajba Stud. He is a delightful colt with a great front, and he scored 92.21 points. Second with 92.14 went to the very mature Akmal Athbah (Wajee Athbah x Mawee Athbah), bred and owned by Athbah Stud. Third with 90.43 points was Gazwan al Athba (Luigi x Ghizwa al Shaqab), bred by Al Athba Stud and owned by Al Asalah Stud.

There were 12 forward in the first section, seeing a win for the extraordinary EKS Farajj (Ibn Farid x EKS Bint Helwah) bred by Elkasun Arabians, Willie Brown, and owned by Haras Royal de Bouznika. EKS Farajj is everything an Arabian stallion should be; quality, type, beauty, presence and charisma, and his successes as a show horse are emulated in the breeding barn. He scored 93.14 points. Bred by Albidayer Stud, he is owned by Xin Wang from China – the first horse to represent this country in the World Championships, making it a historic moment.
