In January, a stallion bred by Albidayer Stud in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, added a glittering prize to the stud’s ever-growing collection. The stallion in question was the six-year-old Sinmar Albidayer, the newly crowned Gold Senior Male Champion at the 2023 Ajman Arabian Horse Championships. He is the latest in a long list of Arabian horses bred by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi to take some of the most coveted titles in the Arabian showing world.

Albidayer Stud has an impressive, and ever increasing, reputation for breeding beautiful, typey, and correct Arabian horses. From strong mare lines, including foundation mare, the Polish Bidayer (Emigrant x Eskalopka), Sheikh Mohammed and Stud Manager Dawn Martin, have bred some of the most exciting Arabian horses to grace our show-rings in recent years, such as Mozn Albidayer (S.M.A. Magic One x Mattaharii), Raoud Albidayer (S.M.A. Magic One x DL Marielle), and Lahab Albidayer (Vervaldee x FS Madeline); Sinmar Albidayer is the next name in this star-studded list.

Foaled in 2017, Sinmar Albidayer is sired by the showy grey multiple champion Shanghai EA, who is a son in turn of the ‘champion maker’ WH Justice (Magnum Psyche x Vona Sher-Renea) and out of Salymah EA (Khidar x Libanon Azadika). Maternal grandsire Khidar brings in Egyptian and Spanish blood, being by Ansata Sinan (Prince Fa Moniet x Ansata Nefara) and out of Elizja (Esta-Ghalil x Aica), a double Ibn Estasha (Malik x Estasha) granddaughter.

Sinmar Albidayer’s dam is the feminine Salwa Albidayer, by World Champion Marwan al Shaqab (Gazal al Shaqab x Little Liza Fame) and out of one of Albidayer Stud’s superlative foundation mares, the Chilean-bred San Jose Alfonsina (Hafati Express x Hafati Bel Charm), a mare whose sireline brings in the coveted Polish blood of RSD Victory (Bey Shah x Kamasi Sabaha) and Aladdinn (Nureddin x Lalage).

While his stablemates have been stealing the headlines in recent years, Sinmar Albidayer has been consistently winning titles in Europe and the Middle East. As a yearling, he was named Silver Champion at the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Show and the UAE National Arabian Horse Show. As a three-year-old, Sinmar Albidayer took the Gold Junior Male Championship at the Elran Cup in Belgium, then last year, as a five-year-old, he was named Gold Senior Male Champion at the Manda Arabian Horse Show in Israel.

With his look-at-me attitude, fairytale looks, and commanding Arabian charisma, Sinmar Albidayer has continued to shine, taking the Gold Senior Male title at this year’s Ajman Arabian Horse Championships. And with little surprise – he is typey, correct, and undeniably Arabian. With Shanghai EA style has blended with that of Salwa Albidayer to create a dynamic, powerful individual who has quietly been collecting titles, and you just that Sinmar Albidayer has much, much more to offer – not least as the Ajman Show traditionally has been a guide to those Arabian horses who will enjoy success later in the year.

Ultimately, Sinmar Albidayer offers breeders that extra something, with his looks, his attitude, and his finesse. His is a story that is just beginning.
