AHO World Cup & AHO Breeders’ Championship Europe 2016 in the Capital of Horses – Hippodrome de Chantilly
August sees the fourth edition of the Arabian Horse Organization (AHO) Breeders’ Championship Europe and the second edition of the AHO World Cup take place in Chantilly. Held between 4-7 August, the shows will take place between the exquisite Chateau de Chantilly and the beautiful Grand Stables, built in the 18th century by the grandson of Louis XIV. Chantilly has a long cultural history with the most beautiful conquest of man, and the venue is perfectly fitting to the Arabian horse’s beauty and elegance. The AHO is very proud to host this prestigious event in such an ideal venue and at the same time, be a part of the Equestrian calendar in Chantilly along with the Prix du Jockey Club, the Prix de Diane, the Longines Global Champions Tour and major Polo Events.
Both shows are organised by the AHO, who work hard to offer everyone a great show, as well as giving breeders and owners an opportunity to win the championship titles as well as a big prize money. In 2015, the AHO welcomed around 100 European and international breeders competing in the AHO Breeders’ Championship Europe and AHO World Cup.
The AHO Breeders’ Championship Europe is organised for breeders in Europe and offers prize money of around €200,000. The Top Five in each class receives €1,000 Euro, the Gold Champion €10,000, the Silver Champion €5,000, and the Bronze Champion €3,000. In addition, the Best Handler and Best Breeder are awarded €5,000 each. There are strict entry rules – including that the horse must be born in Europe and be entirely owned by the European breeder.
The AHO World Cup is an open international event welcoming breeders and owners from all around the world to participate in the capital of horses, Chantilly.
The event will start with the AHO World Cup on 4-5 August, followed by the AHO Breeder’s Championship Europe on 6-7 August. For more information, visit www.ahosite.org or e-mail kopp@ahosite.org
