At the open houses held after the All Nations’ Cup, there was one foal who everyone was talking about – the next generation for Albidayer Stud. This was their utterly enchanting filly Durrat Albidayer, sired by Jyar Meia Lua and out of the stud’s champion mare, A Vision MI.

Albidayer Stud, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qassimi, is located in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Horses from this famous farm include Marajj (Marwan al Shaqab x RGA Kouress), Mozn Albidayer (SMA Magic One x Mattaharii), Raoud Albidayer (SMA Magic One x DL Marielle), Basmah Albidayer (Fadi al Shaqab x Bidayer) among many others, and the newest name to be added to the star roster is Durrat Albidayer.

Foaled in June this year, Durrat Albidayer is out of their Australian-bred mare, A Vision MI. A multiple champion in her native Australia, where she was bred by Mulawa Arabians, A Vision MI was unanimous Australian National Champion Yearling Filly as well as East Coast Yearling Filly before Sheikh Mohammed and Manager Dawn Martin saw her potential and added her to the stables of Albidayer Stud. Gold Junior Female titles followed at the 2019 Sharjah International Arabian Horse Show and Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships, as well as Bronze at the All Nations’ Cup. A very feminine chestnut mare, foaled in autumn 2016 – the Australian spring – A Vision MI is by one of Mulawa’s top breeding stallions in recent years, Allegiance MI (Magnum Forty Four x Audacia) and she is out of the DA Valentino (Versace x DA Love) daughter, and unanimous Australian National Champion, Always Valentine MI (ex Always an Angel by SK Shakla Khan). A Vision MI represents the twelfth-generation of Mulawa breeding.

Durrat Albidayer’s sire, meanwhile, is the stallion of the moment, Jyar Meia Lua, bred by the late Lenita Perroy and owned by La Movida Arabians in Austria. This 10-year-old flashy, exotic bay captivates every time you see him, and he is sire of the 2022 World Champion Yearling Filly, Aisha al Sheikh (ex Algamra by AJ Portofino) among others. Jyar Meia Lua is by RFI Maktub (Altam Yshmayl x RFI Cyntilation) and out of Jiullya el Jamaal, sired by Ali Jamaal (Ruminaja Ali x Heritage Memory) and out of one of Lentia’s most treasured mares, Jullye el Ludjin (Ludjin el Jamaal x NV Justa Dream).

During the presentation at Privilege SFQ in Belgium, A Vision MI came out followed by her foal, who was with a recipient mare. From the moment people saw Durrat Albidayer, they were enchanted. An incredibly beautiful and feminine bay filly foal, Durrat Albidayer oozed confidence, and she took the vast crowd in her stride – they were all there to see her, after all!

Durrat Albidayer truly is a special filly. She has that je ne said quoi that makes her stand out, and she is certainly a star in the making. Older maternal half-brother Rayeq Albidayer, by another of the stud’s superstars, Saif Albidayer (Excalibur EA x Nesj el Markhisa), was Silver Junior Male Champion at the United Crown Cup last year as a two-year-old, and Durrat Albidayer is sure to follow in his footsteps – if not beyond.

You saw her here first, the name to remember – Durrat Albidayer.
