Stade des Hespérides to Host Fourth Stage of this Elite Tour
The Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) is delighted to announce its arrival in the iconic city of Cannes on 11-12 June for the fourth stage of this world-renowned series. Known for its luxurious charm and breath-taking vistas, Cannes offers an exquisite setting for showcasing the splendour and grace of Arabian horses.
The GCAT is a premier series that celebrates the beauty and heritage of purebred Arabian horses, who will stand before a panel of 20 esteemed judges from all over the world to be evaluated on a set of five criteria – type, head and neck, body and topline, legs, and movement – each worth 20 points, allowing a maximum possible score of 100 points.

Competitors from around the globe will converge in Cannes, vying for the most substantial prize money in Arabian horse show history. Each stage of the tour has witnessed remarkable performances, and Cannes promises to be no exception. The prize fund for Cannes alone amounts to over €1,000,000, with bonus prize money at the end of the season for the Leading Female, Leading Male, Leading Handler and Overall Leading Horse.
Currently in the lead after three phenomenal events in Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat, is Dubai Arabian Horse Stud’s D Borkan (FA el Rasheem x D Ajayeb) in the male ranking with a total of 54 points earned out of a maximum possible 60 at this stage of the game. AJ Kayya (AJ Kafu x Aja Caprice), bred and owned by Ajman Stud, is leading the females on 60 points, proving unbeatable in the series to date.
Leading Handler honours at this stage go to Paolo Capecci on 168 points. A seasoned handler, Paolo shows for Dubai Arabian Horse Stud and has successfully led not only D Borkan to leading male status but D Shakhar (D Shakhat x D Shamkhah) and D Nafayes (D Seraj x D Danat) to multiple victories, with both horses standing second in the male and female rankings respectively.
In addition to the Arabian horse show, the GCAT in Cannes will offer a feast of entertainment and luxury. The event will feature a vibrant entertainment line up, including cultural performances, an awe-inspiring closing ceremony and special exhibitions that celebrate the rich history and artistry of Arabian horses, intertwined with French culture.
Enhancing the experience, the GCAT will host an exclusive shopping village, showcasing an array of local and international brands. Visitors can indulge in luxury shopping, explore unique artisan products, and enjoy gourmet food and beverages. This village will provide an ideal opportunity for guests to take home a piece of the GCAT experience, whether it be through fashion, accessories, or culinary delights.
The GCAT in Cannes is more than just a competition; it is an immersive experience that combines the thrill of the Tour with the elegance and sophistication of one of the world’s most glamorous cities. Visitors can stroll along the famed Croisette, enjoy the Mediterranean climate, and immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere that only Cannes can offer.
