The Arabian Magazine and The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine

As we all know, we are living in unprecedented times. Across the world, shows are being cancelled and life as we have all known it has changed. And enforced change means challenging decisions have to be made – and The Arabian Magazine is not exempt from this.

The first print edition of 2020 always heads to the Arabian Breeders’ World Cup in Las Vegas and just before we were due to print, the show was cancelled. This left me with a decision of whether to print or not and, with so much uncertainty around, I chose not to.

I had already been looking at ways to evolve The Arabian Magazine and The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine as we move into an increasingly digital world; all across the globe, printed publications are suffering and while I will always be a huge advocate for the power and longevity of print, I knew that change was inevitably coming. Our online readership has grown considerably, and the number of readers that we have, especially for our main features, is truly amazing.

So, with the enforced cancellation of shows the world over, and such uncertainty in our personal lives ahead, I have made the decision to suspend publication of The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine for the moment. Some of the features that were destined for this edition will now published online at The Arabian Magazine. Towards the end of the year, when we hope life will have returned to some resemblance of normality, we will publish The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine Collectors’ Edition. This will be a luxurious and unique publication, with all the coffee-table beauty, depth and quality that The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine is renowned for.

The Arabian Breeders’ Magazine Collectors’ Edition will be compiled during the year, meaning that it will be a true testament to the great versatility of the Arabian horse the world over. You can expect all the regular features you have come to love in our print editions, as well as some new ideas that will make this book a true reference guide for years to come. All our existing subscribers will receive the 2020 Showcase edition and all 2021 publications as our plans between now and then develop.

We will also further evolve our online presence with the launch of The Arabian Magazine Premier Collection. This will be your gateway to your favourite farms and horses around the world. From the comfort of your own home, you will be able to read about the places and Arabian horses that inspire you, as well as enjoying video footage of celebrated Arabian stars. This comprehensive library will continue to evolve, and it will truly be something special.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about these new concepts and the best way to ensure that not only does The Arabian Magazine, in all its guises, continues, but that it also maintains the amazing reputation it has the world over. We are all in a state of flux, but many of you have shown me such amazing support over the years and I hope that this continues, now more than ever.
