5.30pm CT time – Arc Online Stallion Auction opens – click here to view lots
6pm CT – Darley Awards Virtual Event begins – click here to watch free of charge

Darley Awards Virtual Edition will allow viewers to watch the Darley Awards
With the forced cancellation of the Arabian Racing Cup’s Darley Awards in Houston due to COVID-19, the Arabian Racing Cup (ARC) event team is producing a special Darley Awards virtual edition that allows viewers to participate in an online-style ceremony on the Arabian Jockey Club (AJC) Facebook page

Guests will enjoy video messages from ARC stewards and event team members, presentation of several new awards launched this year, and of course the anticipated reveal of each Darley Champion for the 2019 racing year, including the 2019 Darley Horse of the Year.

Simply log onto the Arabian Jockey Club Facebook page a few minutes before the start of the programme, and look for its post at the top of the page. Click to begin watching.

Many thanks to Rosebrook Farm for making this unprecedented broadcast possible. RoseBrook Farm’s silks are recognisable around the globe as one of the indisputable leading breeders and owners of Arabian racehorses on the highest level. RoseBrook’s list of accomplishments through the years are just too numerous to list, and nearly as impossible to keep updated as the horses bred and owned by RoseBrook are continually racking up wins at racetracks all over the world.

The Arc Online Stallion Auction will run for seven days, ending at 5:30 pm CT time on Saturday 28 March.

Darley Awards Official Coctktail – The Darley Double
If we can’t celebrate together, let’s share a toast together on Saturday night! We are proud to introduce a new part of the Darley Awards tradition with the unveiling of its new signature cocktail: The Darley Double.

But be forewarned, this double shot bourbon drink goes down easy and is certain to become your new drink of choice!

DARLEY DOUBLE INGREDIENTS
2 oz of your favorite bourbon
1 oz fresh red or pink grapefruit juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/4 oz agave syrup (nectar)
2 dashes bitters
1 fresh sage leaf

Combine the bourbon, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave and bitters in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake until outside is frosty, about 30 seconds; strain in a coupe glass. Slap sage leaf between your palms until fragrant; float on top of cocktail.

During the Darley Awards Virtual Edition, post pics of your Darley Double with the hashtag #DarleyDoubleTrouble as well as your watch parties in the comments of the Darley Awards Facebook video stream. Cheers!
