All Nations’ Cup, Aachen, cancelled

The All Nations’ Cup, held at the end of September every year in Aachen, Germany, and the first of the Triple Crown Shows in Europe each year, has been cancelled.

The Organising Committee released the following statement:

All Nations Cup event 2020 (incl. German Nationals and Ridden classes) cancelled due to Corona pandemic

Dear members and friends of Aachen event

We inform you to our great regret that this year’s All Nations Cup in Aachen is cancelled due to the corona pandemic. The National Championship and also the Arabian Ridden classes which traditionally takes place as a parallel event are also affected.

The VZAP board and the All Nations Cup Committee (ANCC) took this rational decision with a heavy heart unanimously after detailed discussion.

Neither pandemic duration nor economic consequences which will also affect activity of the sponsors can be forseen. Nobody knows how the pandemic will develop until September and whether and to what extent international travel will be possible again.

Human health and safety is paramount.

To cancel All Nations Cup 2020 is an act of great responsibility which is an essential demand for each of us in these difficult times.

Our special thanks go to Annette Hedley and Hassanain Al Nakeeb and all other members of the ANCC for their mutual understanding of how to deal with the ANC in this difficult situation.

We would like to thank everyone who has remained loyal to Aachen event for many years, either as participant or as sponsor. We are keeping our fingers crossed for your support to be continued next year.

Those breeders who already have their horse in training will for sure harvest success at ANC event 2021.

We look forward to a healthy and light hearted reunion with you in 2021. Stay healthy!

On behalf of entire VZAP-board and All Nations Cup Committee

Statement All Nations Cup Committee (ANCC)
“As public health and safety are paramount and due to the unfortunate scientific uncertainties to forecast the pandemic duration of COVID19, the All Nations Cup Committee unanimously agreed with the VZAP wise decision to postpone the 2020 All Nations Cup in Aachen until 2021“

Hassanain Al Nakeeb, on behalf of the ANCC
