A Vision MI

If others can see it as I have seen it, then it may be called ‘A Vision’ rather than a dream…

Making her debut in the northern hemisphere at the end of November is the extraordinary beauty, A Vision MI. Owned by Albidayer Stud in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, the stud is the dream of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi and A Vision MI is a huge complement to their already sterling breeding programme. She will show at the Paris World Championships, where Albidayer’s beautiful homebred Mozn Albidayer (SMA Magic One x Mattaharii by Magnum Chall HVP) took the Gold Junior Female World Championship title last year. Already a champion in her native Australia, A Vision has all the qualities needed to make this a glorious double for Albidayer Stud.

A Vision MI was bred by Mulawa Arabian Stud, located just outside of Sydney, New South Wales. She represents 12 generations of their breeding programme, no small feat in this modern world of breeding, and A Vision MI had already been garlanded with glory before she left for foreign shores. At the 2017 National Stud Show, she was President’s Choice Award Winner, and she began 2018 as East Coast Champion Yearling Filly. At the Australian National Championships, A Vision MI wowed audience and judges alike, to be named unanimous Gold Champion Yearling Filly, earning the highest score of the show in the process. Now, under the ownership of Sheikh Mohamed, A Vision MI will make her debut for Albidayer Stud in Paris later this month.

A Vision MI is sired by one of Mulawa’s current lead sires, Allegiance MI, a son in turn of their superlative sire Magnum Forty Four (Magnum Psyche x WH Nashahna by Bey Shah). Allegiance MI is out of the Mulawa mare, Audacia, sired by Parkview Audacious (TS Al Malik x Aliha bint Nizr by Anaza el Nizr) and out of Mulawa Aria, by Arrival (ex Euni by Bandos out of Eunice), a son in turn of one of the first lead stallions at Mulawa, Ambition (Bask x Bint Ambara by Comet). Mulawa Aria’s dam was the queen of Mulawa, the ethereal mare Karmaa (Kaborr x AN Marieta by AN Malik), and daughters of her line remain at the heart of the Mulawa breeding programme.

Looking to A Vision MI’s dam, we have the beautiful bay mare, Always Valentine MI, who showed successfully in the United States as part of Mulawa’s international programme before returning to Australia to claim the title of Australian National Champion Mare. Her sire is the much-applauded stallion, the late DA Valentino (Versace x DA Love by Padrons Psyche), while her dam is Always an Angel (SK Shakla Khan x Angel of Fame by Fame Maker R). A Vision MI’s pedigree contains every major sire used in the Mulawa programme over the past 50 years in addition to four of the stud’s major foundation mares. It is little wonder that this beautiful filly is truly a breeder’s dream, and there is little doubt that she will shine for Albidayer Stud.

“For us, A Vision MI is a dream as well as a vision,” smiles Albidayer Stud’s Manager Dawn Martin. “She is elegant, balanced, refined, beautiful, correct and showy. In all, a gorgeous ‘Vision’. We are excited to see what she will do for us, both in the show-ring and the breeding barn.

“At Albidayer Stud, Sheikh Mohammed has bred some beautiful horses, including Mozn Albidayer, Raoud Albidayer (SMA Magic One x DL Marielle by Marwan al Shaqab), Sinmar Albidayer (Shanghai EA x Salwa Albidayer by Marwan al Shaqab) and newly-crowned unanimous US National Champion Two-year old Colt Lahab Albidayer (Vervaldee x FS Madeline by Magnum Psyche), but it is always exciting to bring in a new bloodline. A Vision MI fits our own vision on the ideal Arabian horse, and she will complement Sheikh Mohammed’s breeding programme very well. I am excited to watch her show – and also to watch her grow. A Vision MI has much to offer.”

As the Paris World Championships beckon, A Vision MI will be making her European debut with Glenn Schoukens, and all eyes will be upon her. This is a filly who has been bred to shine, and there is little doubt that she is about to take her first steps on the path to greatness. In fact, hers is a journey already begun.
