The much-loved Chantilly Show returns again next month, and the exciting news is that the show will be back at the Château once more. This iconic backdrop will add even more glamour to what is one of the highlights of the European showing year.

Run by The Arabian Horse Organization, this year’s show takes place between Friday 2 and Sunday 4 August. The show is split into two events, that run concurrently. The first is the World Cup, where horses from over the world compete for the top prizes. Then, there is the highly-competitive European Breeders’ Championship, and this event truly does celebrate breeders and allows the focus to be fully on them.

The judges for this year come from across Europe and the Middle East. Judging the World Cup are Janet Court (UK), Maria Ferraroni (Italy), Eric Gear (France), Naser Mousthaha (Egypt), Anna Stojanowska (Poland), and Sufian Taha Al Husseini (Palestine). For the European Breeders’ Championship, Jerzy Bialobok (Poland), Lukas Gozdzialski (Poland), Jaroslav Lacina (Czech Republic), Majed Al Mejahwi (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Fausto Scanzi (Italy), and Marianne Tengstedt (Denmark) will judge the entries.

Away from the show-ring, there will be a chance to visit the famed Château de Chantilly, built by Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale and the son of the last King of France, Louis-Philippe. As well as beautiful rooms within the château, the stables at this iconic French building are worth a visit as they are simply stunning.

The timetable for this year’s AHO Chantilly Show will be released shortly. Entries have been extended, and you can find out all the information you need at their website, http://www.ahosite.org/en/shows/chantilly-2019

We look forward to seeing you there, and to enjoying one of the most relaxed and beautiful Arabian horse shows in the world.
